Winston Hills has a population of 11,674 people. Located 28km west of the Sydney CBD, Winston Hills is part of The Hills Shire. Named after British Prime Minister Winston Churchill during World War 2, the Greater Western Sydney suburb was originally known as Churchill Hills. Winston Hills saw great development in the 1960s by Hooker Rex, with almost all the land developed in the proceeding decades. The year 2009 saw Buckleys Hill begin development, one of the last remaining undeveloped areas of bushland. Winston Hills is home to the heritage listed Toongabbie Government Farm Archaeological Site on Goliath Avenue.
